Noginsk city Muslim community held a charity event and a seminar for Syrian refugees living in the Moscow region. The event, according to the press service of the Religious Board of Muslims of the Russian Federation, was supported by the Russian office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.

As part of the campaign, the Syrians received necessary clothing, shoes and food. The main topic of the seminar was the importance of social adaptation of refugees in Russia.

“Children should go to school, and parents should be more involved in social life, interact with the executive authorities and social services. Only with such an approach, one can feel the full guarantees that the Russian Federation provides to refugees in its territory,” said Imam  Abdurrauf  Faizov, deputy chairman of the Muslim community in Noginsk.

According to him, it is no way to forget about the spiritual component too.

“Mosques in the Moscow region are open to adults and children, here you can gain knowledge about your religion, develop spiritually and morally, and also get the necessary help and support”, - Faizov noted.
