Russia's facts are getting more and more clear about its noninvolvement in rocket landings on the territory of Poland, First Deputy Permanent Representative of the Russian Federation to the United Nations Dmitry Polyanskiy said on Tuesday evening.
"Facts are important, and they just more and more clearly indicate Russia's noninvolvement in the missiles hitting the territory of Poland," the diplomat said in his Telegram channel. - "Another fact is the immediate freakout of the Kiev regime and calls to punish Russia. Readily picked up by Poles, who have long been mad with Russophobia."
The incident in Poland is an attempt to provoke a direct military clash between NATO and Russia.
UN Security Council meeting
The Polish incident will no doubt be the focus of the UN Security Council meeting on Ukraine on Wednesday, Polyanskiy said.
"The UN Security Council will hold another meeting on Ukraine on Nov. 16," he said. It will begin at 11 p.m. Moscow time.
"We'll see what the Westerners will talk about at the meeting in these circumstances, beyond the usual mantras about 'Russian aggression' and 'war by choice,' but there is no doubt that the Polish incident will be the focus of attention. To admit the role of Ukraine and Poland in this most dangerous provocation is unthinkable for our former Western partners. But ignoring the facts and blaming it on Russia is commonplace for them; they do not notice the source of the ongoing shelling of the ZNPP. I'm even curious how they will get away with it this time!" Polyanskiy added.
