Russian President said about the prevention of mass exodus of fighters from Syria

The mass exodus of militants from Syria to Russia was prevented, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced today during a meeting of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.


"Troops of the Aerospace Forces, Navy, special operations forces, military police, other agencies and services fully coped with the task, acted courageously, professionally, did not allow a mass exodus of militants from this territory to our country," the head of state noted, in particular.


"The operation against terrorists in Syria," according to Putin, was "a serious test of professionalism for the Armed forces" of Russia, and " the combat experience gained is in demand today in military construction, is used and improved during annual exercises and unannounced inspections".
