Syrian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Faisal al-Mekdad received the Russian delegation headed by the Commissioner for children's rights for the President of Russia Anna Kuznetsova.
During the meeting, the parties reaffirmed the friendly Russian-Syrian relations in various fields, including in the field of humanitarian work and the fight against terrorism. Faisal al-Mekdad told about the situation with children in the territories occupied by terrorists and expressed gratitude for Russian actions in coordination with the Syrian people to return Russian children from al-Hol camp.
Anna Kuznetsova, in her turn, praised the efforts of the Syrian authorities to alleviate the suffering of children in difficult situations because of actions of terrorist organizations.
