The countries of the Islamic world understand perfectly well why Russia was compelled to launch a special military operation and respect the policy of Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Ravil Gainutdin, head of the Religious Board of Muslims (RBM) of the Russian Federation.
"The Islamic world treats the policy of our President [Vladimir] Putin and our country with respect, with understanding. They understand perfectly well why Russia was forced to start the special military operation (SVO), why Russia was forced to demand a just world order, not the hegemony of only one world, one country," Gainutdin said on the air of the Rossiya-24 TV channel.
According to the mufti, the Islamic world desires a new world order where the sovereignty, traditions, culture, and religions of these states would be respected. "And this is what the United States, the West as a whole, does not want. And they wanted to blow up our society inside, to create such an atmosphere that we different peoples, different religions, but citizens of a single fatherland, a single nation of the country, were feuding and fighting within our one state," he said.
Gainutdin noted that the forces that demanded to commit a terrorist attack in Crocus City Hall on March 22 in Ramadan aimed to ruin Russia's relations with the Islamic world. He emphasized that the terrorist attack came as a shock and the hardest blow to the entire Islamic community in Russia. "The terrorist attack was committed by those who have deviated from the path of God Almighty, by those who have taken the path of Satan," he concluded.
