As part of a working visit to Turkey, the Tatarstan Delegation ledding by the President of the Republic Rustam Minnikhanov, who heads theGroup of Strategic Vision "Russia-Islamic World", has visited the Research Centre for Islamic History, Art and Culture (IRCICA).
According to the press service of the Head of the Republic, IRCICA is engaged in research, publication, documentation and dissemination of information in a wide range of areas related to Islamic culture and civilization and acts as a coordinator of cooperation between governments, cultural institutions, universities, researchers and artists.
During the meeting, Dr. Halit Eren, Director General of IRCICA, showed Rustam Minnikhanov the archival photos of the Tatars, as well as scientific literature on the history of the Tatar people, and told about the most valuable documents and books stored in the archives of the institute.
It is worth noting that today the IRCICA maintains close contacts with academic, cultural and Muslim organizations of Tatarstan.
