Today, Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Group of strategic vision "Russia – Islamic world", met with the mayor of Izmir Tunç Soyer, who arrived in Kazan to participate in the opening ceremony of the "Bridges of culture" exhibition of Tatarstan artist Raif Tukhvatullin and Turkish artist Zeki Serbest (Izmir).
Minnikhanov, according to the press service of the President of the Republic of Tatarstan, during today's meeting thanked the guest for his visit to Tatarstan and expressed confidence that the Tatarstan-Turkish business contacts would continue to strengthen, which would allow implementing new joint projects.
During the visit to Tatarstan, Soyer will also meet with the mayor of Kazan Ilsur Metshin and Consul General of the Republic of Turkey in Kazan Ismet Erikan and get acquainted with the economic and investment potential of Tatarstan.
