Today, President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of the Group of strategic vision "Russia-Islamic world", met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar to the Russian Federation Fahad bin Mohammed al-Attiyah.
According to the press service of the head of the Republic, the parties discussed the issues of further cooperation in the framework of Russian-Qatari relations.
Rustam Minnikhanov noted that Tatarstan highly appreciates the development of relations with Qatar and congratulated the Ambassador on the state holiday-the National day of Qatar, which is celebrated today.
In 2018, Russia and Qatar marked the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Qatar is considered one of Russia's most important partners in the Middle East.
