Tatarstan President Rustam Minnikhanov, Chairman of Group of strategic vision "Russia-Islamic world", met with the co-chairs of the Commission on cooperation between the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation and the Senate of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
A regular meeting of the Council was held in Kazan the day before.
In 2018, as Minnikhanov noted, the agenda of Tatarstan-Kazakhstan's cooperation was very rich.
For example, the first President of the Republic Nursultan Nazarbayev visited Kazan. Representatives of Tatarstan visited the opening of Astana international financial center and took part in the forum of interregional cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan with the participation of the heads of state. The 20th meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on cooperation between Russia and Kazakhstan was also held in Kazan.
At the end of last year, according to the press service of the President of Tatarstan, Tatarstan-Kazakhstan trade amounted to $ 700 million.
"We value our high-level cooperation with Kazakhstan. Tatarstan at its level will contribute to the strengthening of Russian-Kazakh relations, " Rustam Minnikhanov stressed.
