20 September

There are currently no plans to evacuate the staff of the Russian embassy in Lebanon following recent events, according to Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

“At the moment, as far as I understand, no such warnings have been issued. We are continuing to closely monitor the situation,” Ryabkov said in response to a question from TASS.

“Our agencies, including the Department of Situational and Crisis Management (DCSM) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, which operates effectively, are constantly assessing risks related to the situation in all countries where our foreign missions are located,” the diplomat added.

Ryabkov also noted that the unprecedented events that have taken place in Lebanon in recent days are being carefully studied and analyzed.
