Ryabkov: Putin’s Address Signals Russia’s Readiness to Meet Western Challenges

25 November

President Vladimir Putin’s remarks following the deployment of the “Oreshnik” missile were a clear message to the West, underscoring Russia’s ability to respond militarily to new threats. Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov, in comments to Izvestia, reaffirmed that Russia will defend its vital security interests by any means necessary.

“This statement signals our determination to counter provocations and escalatory moves by the Western backers of the Kiev regime, leaving no doubt about the seriousness of the moment and our capacity to respond militarily to emerging challenges,” Ryabkov explained in reference to the president’s comments after the missile system’s test.

He emphasized that Russia’s fundamental security interests “will be safeguarded without fail, using all available resources.” Ryabkov also dismissed the overuse of the term “red lines,” criticizing its frequent exploitation by adversaries for political rhetoric.
