Saudi Arabia has closed Mecca and Medina for visiting

Saudi authorities have imposed a temporary ban on pilgrims visiting Mecca and Medina. This is due to the spread of a new coronavirus.


"Entry to the Kingdom for the purpose of Umrah and visiting Al-Masjid an-Nabawī (the Prophet's Mosque) has been temporarily suspended," the Kingdom's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Twitter.


In addition, the authorities will temporarily suspend the entry of foreigners for tourism purposes.


According to the latest data, in China, a new type of coronavirus killed 2715 people. The number of infected people exceeded 78 thousand. The WHO recognized these cases as an emergency of international significance.
