An emergency meeting of the Arab League Council will be held on Saturday in Saudi Arabia, as announced by the Jordanian Foreign Ministry.
"Today, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and Expatriates Affairs of the Kingdom Ayman al-Safadi commenced his working visit to Riyadh. The purpose of this trip is the minister's participation in a meeting of foreign ministers to prepare for the extraordinary session of the Arab League Council, which will be held in a summit format in Saudi Arabia on Saturday," the kingdom's foreign ministry announced on its official social media page.
The Emirati newspaper, The National, suggests that the Arab League summit could potentially take place in Saudi Arabia on Friday.
Hossam Zaki, the Assistant Secretary-General of the organization, announced on October 31 that a high-level emergency meeting of the Arab League Council would occur on November 11 in Riyadh. This decision came following Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's appeal to Arab leaders on October 28, urging them to convene an emergency summit aimed at putting a halt to Israeli aggression against the Palestinian people.
