Saudi Arabia will receive the first batch of Russian wheat

09 April 2020

Russia sent the first batch of wheat with a volume of 60 thousand tons to Saudi Arabia, RIA Novosti reports with reference to Rosselkhoznadzor.

"Russia sent the first batch of grain with a volume of more than 60 thousand tons to Saudi Arabia. The batch was examined by the institution subordinate to  Rosselkhoznadzor for compliance with the requirements of the importing country," the Agency quotes, in particular, the press service of the Russian Ministry.

The cargo, as noted, was sent by the trading house in the framework of a tender that it won a few months ago.

In August 2019, Rosselkhoznadzor reported that Saudi Arabia eased the requirements for the quality of imported wheat, as a result of which Russia was able to supply this crop to the Kingdom.
