Russian as a second foreign language will be included in the curricula for schools and colleges in Egypt, the press service of the Russian Ministry of Education said Wednesday.
"The Russian Ministry of Education and the Ministry of General and Technical Education of the Arab Republic of Egypt have agreed to include the study of the Russian language in Egyptian schools and colleges as a second foreign language. This agreement was fixed in the protocol of the 14th meeting of the joint Russian-Egyptian commission on trade, economic, scientific and technical cooperation," the report said.
It is noted that the protocol also includes a number of measures that contribute to the development of cooperation between Russia and Egypt in the field of general, secondary vocational and additional education.
