SCO and BRICS Summits to be held in Saint Petersburg

On July 21-23, 2020, the SCO and BRICS Summits will be held in St. Petersburg, Roscongress reports.


"Timeframe for 2020 SCO and BRICS summits approved. The BRICS summit and the SCO Heads of State Council meeting will be held in St Petersburg on 21−23 July 2020 within the framework of Russia’s presidency of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in 2019−2020 and of BRICS in 2020," the message reads.


The SCO unites China, Russia, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, India and Pakistan. Currently, the observer countries in the organization are Afghanistan, Belarus, Iran and Mongolia, and the partner countries are Azerbaijan, Armenia, Cambodia, Nepal, Turkey and Sri Lanka.


BRICS unites Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.
