Another column of the Russian Emergencies Ministry with humanitarian cargo arrived in Stepanakert on Tuesday, TASS reports.
The column was formed in Rostov-on-Don. Twenty departmental "Kamaz" trucks delivered 300 tons of construction materials: wood, glass and slabs. These materials will be used in the restoration of residential buildings and infrastructure of Nagorno-Karabakh.
On November 21, the first column of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in five cars delivered to Stepanakert 45 tons of building materials.
On September 27, the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh escalated and active battles began on the disputed territory. On November 9, the leaders of Russia, Azerbaijan and Armenia signed a joint statement on the complete cessation of hostilities in Nagorno-Karabakh. The document envisages the deployment of Russian peacekeepers in the region. On November 13, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of an interdepartmental humanitarian response center for Nagorno-Karabakh. It included representatives of the Emergencies Ministry, Foreign Ministry and FSB, as well as representatives of other interested federal executive bodies. The Ministry of Defense is responsible for solving organizational issues.
