Security Council Secretaries of CIS Nations Confer on Anti-Terrorism Measures

The Security Council Secretaries from member states of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) convened to discuss collaborative strategies in combating terrorism, as reported by the press office of the Russian Federation's Security Council.

 

The discussions unfolded in St. Petersburg on the sidelines of the XII international meeting of high representatives overseeing security affairs. The session was presided over by Nikolai Patrushev, Secretary of the Russian Security Council.

 

The agenda encompassed an extensive exchange of perspectives on the prevailing situation within the post-Soviet space. Emphasis was placed on the importance of unified action to thwart terrorist threats. Additionally, deliberations touched upon the challenges surrounding the preservation of historical memory and the collective efforts to counter the resurgence of Nazi ideologies and aggressive nationalism.
