Senegal's Presidential Election Scheduled for March 24

07 March

President of Senegal Macky Sall has set the date for the presidential election to March 24, as reported by Reuters, citing a statement from the presidential administration of the African country.

This decision came after the Constitutional Council declared the proposal by the head of state to hold presidential elections on June 2 unconstitutional.

In Senegal, presidential elections are conducted in two rounds if no candidate secures more than 50% plus one vote in the first round.
