In Moscow, the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has met with Secretary General of the League of Arab States Ahmed Aboul Gheit, who has arrived in the Russian capital to attend the 5th ministerial session of the Arab Cooperation Forum.
As the Press Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation reported, the parties have discussed the «political and organizational aspects of the Forum’s work, as well as topical issues on the regional agenda focusing on the Middle East issues, the situation in Syria and Libya.
Also, Lavrov and Aboul Gheit have confirmed their mutual attitude on the further strengthening of the productive Russian-Arab interaction at the bilateral and multilateral levels, including the Russia-LAS format.
