Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov held a meeting with the President of the Lebanese Marada movement Suleiman Frangieh.
According to the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry, the main topics of the conversation were the development of the socio-economic situation in Lebanon, the current geopolitical situation in the Middle East as a whole, as well as topical issues of further strengthening the traditionally friendly Russian-Lebanese relations.
Lavrov confirmed Russia's consistent line in support of the sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity of the Lebanese Republic, stressing the need to solve all problems of the national agenda in the legal field on the basis of a constructive dialogue between the leading political forces of Lebanon and the inadmissibility of external interference in its internal affairs.
