Russia stands for the full withdrawal of foreign troops from Afghanistan. Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov claimed about this at a meeting on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Russia and Afghanistan.
“Russia is convinced that the conflict in Afghanistan has no military solution. There is only possible way of settlement - peace through political and diplomatic means. We stand for the complete withdrawal of foreign troops from the country. We call on all Afghan parties to start negotiations with the participation of a wide range of socio-political forces as soon as possible ”, mentioned Minister.
