Tomorrow, on March 21st, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov will pay an official visit to the Republic of San Marino with the first official bilateral relations in history.
During the visit, he will hold talks with the Secretary of State (Minister) for foreign affairs, political affairs and justice, Nicola Renzi, and speak at the Grand and General Council (Parliament) of San Marino.
Diplomats intend to exchange views on topical aspects of the Russian-Sanmarin interstate relations in the political, economic and cultural spheres, as well as on the most topical topics on the international agenda. It’s worth nothing that on September 30th, 2018, Russia and San Marino celebrated the 25th anniversary of the establishment of full-fledged diplomatic relations.
Despite the external pressure, the Republic of San Marino didn’t join the anti-Russian sanctions imposed by the European Union, the United States and a number of other countries against Russia.
