Sergei Shoigu, Secretary of the Russian Security Council, arrived in Iran on Monday for a scheduled working trip.
During his visit to Tehran, Shoigu will meet with Ali Akbar Ahmadian, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, and Mohammad Bagheri, Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces. He will also be received by Iranian President Massoud Pezeshkian.
The discussions will cover a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation, focusing on strengthening ties in areas ranging from security to trade and economic projects.
The talks will also address various aspects of global and regional security, according to the Russian Security Council's office.
