Sierra Leone's President Julius Maada Bio returned to the country, the situation in the republic is more or less stable, the Russian embassy in the Republic of Guinea and concurrently in the Republic of Sierra Leone told TASS on Wednesday.
"According to publications in Sierra Leonean media and social networks, the situation in neighboring Sierra Leone (concurrently supervised from Conakry) is now more or less stabilized. President Julius Maada Bio returned to the country, addressed the nation, and is actively meeting with community leaders and tribal chiefs, who are expressing their support and solidarity," the diplomatic mission reported.
Earlier it was reported that the president of Sierra Leone was on vacation in the UK with his family.
