Russian President Vladimir Putin and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu discussed the details of the us-developed plan for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement, known as the «deal of the century».
This was reported by TASS with reference to a source in the Israeli delegation.
«There was a long, deep and thorough conversation about the details of the «deal of the century» and its impact on the region. In addition, the leaders discussed developments in Syria and the necessary coordination between Israel and Russia," the Agency quotes the interlocutor.
Recall that US President Donald Trump announced the details of the «deal of the century» on January 28.
According to the document, Jerusalem is recognized as the unified and indivisible capital of Israel, and Palestine becomes a fully independent, but demilitarized state, practically devoid of control over its borders.
As the future capital of Palestine, the plan proposes the village of Abu Dis in the Eastern suburbs of Jerusalem, located behind a security fence.
Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas strongly rejected the us President's proposals.
