On August 12, Deputy Foreign Minister and Special Presidential Representative for the Middle East and Africa Mikhail Bogdanov met with Lebanese President adviser Amal Abou Zeid.
The parties discussed the current political situation in Lebanon and in the Middle East in general. Bogdanov and Abou Zeid stressed that the coordination of Russian-Lebanese efforts to create the necessary conditions for the comeback of Syrian refugees from Lebanon should be continued.
In addition, Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov noted the unchanged position of official Moscow on the sovereignty, territorial integrity and unity of the Lebanese Republic.
