Spokesman of the Tajik parliament awarded the gold medal of IPA CIS "Tree of Friendship"

The press secretary of the Tajik parliament Muhammadato Sultonov was awarded the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly and the Interstate TV and Radio Company Mir medal "Tree of Friendship" for his contribution to the formation of the CIS information space.


This was reported on Thursday in the press service of the lower chamber of the parliament of Tajikistan. 


"In accordance with the decision of the Council of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States member countries, a representative of Majlisi namoyandagon (lower house) Majlisi Oli (parliament) of the Republic of Tajikistan was awarded the "Tree of Friendship" medal for his worthy contribution to the formation of information space of the Commonwealth of Independent States," the statement said. 


The award was presented to Sultonov by Speaker of the lower house of parliament  Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda. 


Muhammadato Sultonov graduated from the Faculty of journalism of Lomonosov Moscow State University. 


He has been a spokesman for the Tajik parliament for more than 20 years.
