Syria is not surprised by the racist statements of Israeli officials, the words reflect the degree of aggressiveness of Israel. The Syrian foreign ministry said in a statement released on Wednesday.
"Syria is not surprised by the repeated racist statements of Israeli entity officials, as they are a clear reflection of the true nature of this entity, the degree of its aggressiveness and expansionist ambitions in the countries of the region, as well as the level of its disregard for the fundamental norms of international law and relevant UN resolutions," Syrian channel Al Ekhbariya quoted the agency's statement as saying.
Israeli Finance Minister Betsalel Smotrich, speaking at a private Jewish community event in Paris on March 19, stated that there was no Palestinian people, and the only true Palestinians were Jews. Several Arab countries condemned the Israeli minister's remarks, including the United Arab Emirates, Jordan and Egypt, with which Israel has diplomatic relations.
