Syria has an absolute right to return the Golan Heights occupied by Israel, while applying any methods, including the military. It was stated in an interview for RIA Novosti the Director of the Department of Golan in the Cabinet of Ministers of Syria Midhat Salih claimed.
«The Golan is an integral part of the Syrian territory. We have the right to return these lands at any time and by any method which we think appropriate. In my opinion, the only language that Israel understands is the language of force and resistance. It will leave the Arab territories only under the influence of resistance forces», the agency quotes, official, in particular.
Salih expressed the hope that the international community would be able to put an end to the occupation of the Golan, but noted that all UN decisions and resolutions for half a century remained only on paper.
Let’s remind that on April 4th, the UAR Foreign Minister Walid Muallem said that Syria doesn’t exclude a military version of the solution to the problem of the occupied Golan Heights.
