Syria Enters a New Era of Economic Reconstruction

Syrian Prime Minister Hussein Arnous expressed optimism about the country's future as he cast his ballot in the parliamentary elections. He emphasized that the newly elected People's Council (unicameral parliament) will play a crucial role in the nation's economic reconstruction.



"We are embarking on building a modern Syria, entering a new phase of economic reconstruction," - Arnous said, quoted by SANA news agency. - "We wish success to the deputies who will be elected to the Council in fulfilling all the tasks assigned to them during the reconstruction period."



Syrian Foreign Minister Faisal Mekdad echoed the sentiment, calling the parliamentary elections a testament to Syria's commitment to democracy. "The law gives all segments of society the right to elect their representatives to the People's Council," - he stated. - "Today's vote confirms the Syrian people's faith in democracy."



Mekdad went on to highlight the country's recent successes under President Bashar al-Assad's leadership, stating that Syria will continue to progress towards a brighter future.
