Syria is confident that Russia will be able to counter the resurgent fascist trend and help establish a multipolar world order. Ambassador of the Arab Republic in Moscow, Bashar Jaafari, made this statement during the plenary session of the International Anti-Fascist Congress-2023.
"We are confident that the Russian people, along with freedom fighters worldwide, will, just as they did during the Great Patriotic War and World War II, be able to thwart this resurgent fascist trend, secure victory once more, and establish a fair and balanced multipolar world order," stated the ambassador.
The diplomat underscored that the Kiev regime has embraced hateful Nazi slogans, which it has been directing "towards the population of Donbass for years." "Furthermore, with the backing of the collective West, the pursuit of the American geopolitical agenda is geared towards isolating the Russian Federation and posing threats to its national security and interests along its western borders," he pointed out.
Furthermore, Jaafari highlighted that Syria is fully aware of what is being "plotted against the Russian Federation." He noted, "Syria has undergone a similar conflict, persisting since 2011, orchestrated by Western nations led by the United States of America."
The ambassador also conveyed the government of the Arab republic's "words of gratitude and appreciation to every Russian soldier and the country's leadership for their assistance to Syria during challenging times in defeating international terrorism."
The anti-fascist congress, scheduled for September 12-13 in Moscow, commemorates the International Day of Remembrance of Victims of Fascism. Since 1995, this forum has been organized by the International Union of Former Juvenile Prisoners of Fascism and the Russian Union of Former Juvenile Prisoners of Fascism, with support from the Russian government. Its purpose is to honor significant anniversaries related to the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and to preserve historical memory. Starting in 2020, Strong Russia and Officers of Russia also joined as co-organizers of the forum.
