29 May 2019

Turkish intelligence forces organized a meeting of the leaders of the terrorist groups. The Permanent Representative of Syria to the International Organization Bashar Jaafari claimed about it, speaking at a meeting of the UN Security Council.

“This meeting was chaired by the Head of the “Dzhebhat an-Nusra” (banned in the Russian Federation)”, he noted, showing a photo of the terrorists.

According to the Syrian diplomat, some of those people depicted in the photograph took part in the inter-Syrian negotiations in the Astana format and pledged not to fight against the Syrian government.

Russia, Iran and Turkey, as well as delegations of the Syrian government, opposition forces and observers - the United Nations and Jordan, take part in the inter-Syrian talks in Astana’s format held in the capital of Kazakhstan.
