Russia is a country that can achieve prosperity through cooperation with foreign partners, and not through the colonial policy peculiar to the West, the Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad said at the plenary session of the International Scientific and Practical Forum "Oil capital" in Nizhnevartovsk.
"Russia has proved that it is a sincere and reliable ally of Syria by providing Syria and its people with appropriate support in the fight against terrorism. It should be noted that Russia, along with the people of Syria, opposes the economic blockade imposed by Western powers, and also provides our people with all kinds of support and humanitarian assistance", RIA Novosti quoted the Syrian diplomat as saying.
In Syria, according to Haddad, Russia's successes in various fields are considered "as achievements for the whole world", and " Russia seeks prosperity and security for its people through cooperation based on respect for mutual interests between countries, and not through a colonial policy aimed at plundering other people's wealth, as Western countries did".
