Reports in some foreign media about the withdrawal of the Russian military from the areas of Ayn al-Arab and Tell Rifaat  in northern Syria to take part in the special military operation (SMO) in Ukraine are not true, Syrian Ambassador to Russia Riyad Haddad told Izvestiya  on Wednesday.

"I can say with full confidence that all unreliable news that is published about Russia's allegedly forced withdrawal from Syria after the start of the military operation in Ukraine are all fabrications of hostile and paid agents, it is not actual information from the spot," Riyad Haddad told the publication.

According to the ambassador, the details of the military movements of the Syrian and Russian sides in Syria are known only to the military leadership of the two countries. "They work in full coordination with each other in a way that serves the common goals of eliminating armed terrorist groups and maintaining security and stability in different regions of Syria," Riyad Haddad added.
