The regular session of the Syrian Constitutional Committee is scheduled to be held in late August-early September in Geneva, Alexander Lavrentyev, the Russian President's Representative for the Syrian settlement, told TASS.
He said that there were no plans to hold a second Syrian National Dialogue Congress. "It was not expected, because based on the results of the Syrian National Dialogue Congress, the work of the Constitutional Committee in Geneva was launched, it continues, and we are optimistic that the next session may be held in early August or late September," Lavrentyev said.
The previous session of the small group of the Syrian Constitutional Committee was held in January of this year in Geneva.
