On August 21, Russian Centre for the reconciliation of opposing Sides and control over the movement of refugees, operating under the auspices of the Russian Ministry of defense, published another newsletter on the current situation in the Syrian Arab Republic.
Over the past day, 1,166 refugees returned to Syria: 415 of them through Lebanese territory, 751 -through Jordan.
Thus, for more than a year (from 18 July 2018 to the present) 364 277 Syrian citizens returned to the country. According to the UN High Commissioner for refugees, 6 634 214 Syrians are outside their country, being officially registered as refugees.
