President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin awarded the Supreme Mufti of the Republic of Tatarstan Talgat Tajuddin with the Order for Services to the Fatherland, III degree. The corresponding decree is published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
In the document, it is noted that the award is given for “a great contribution to the development of spiritual culture, strengthening of interethnic and interfaith peace and harmony in society”.
By the same decree, a number of cultural and art workers, as well as scientists, doctors, teachers, parliamentarians, officials, athletes, etc., were awarded with similar state awards.
