It was released Monday in connection with a report circulated to the UN Security Council on the situation in the country.

It said that since the Taliban came to power, "the region has been spared any threat from Afghanistan and the Afghan government has been working continuously for the past nine months to create an atmosphere of trust in relations with countries in the region and around the world."

"The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan reiterates that no one will be allowed to threaten others from the territory of Afghanistan," the statement stresses. - "We also urge everyone not to use unverified information from anonymous sources. The incumbent Afghan government should be given the legal right to provide credible information directly to the UNSC and individual countries through its permanent representative to the UN."

At a recent meeting in Dushanbe, secretaries of security councils of the regional dialogue on Afghanistan urged "the relevant Afghan parties to take more tangible steps to root out all kinds of terrorist groups, suppress the movements of all terrorist organizations, eliminate their training camps both in Afghanistan and in the region, and ensure that Afghanistan is not a breeding ground, a sanctuary or a source of terrorism. In the final statement, they also noted that international terrorist organizations cannot use Afghan territory to harbor and train extremists or to plan or finance any terrorist acts against countries in the region.
