"The Taliban* do not pose a threat to other countries, said Acting Afghan Prime Minister Mohammad Hasan Akhund.
According to Akhund's message on the occasion of the first anniversary of the Taliban coming to power in Afghanistan, "the world should" strengthen its relations with them and establish good political ties.
Akhund also asked the people to be grateful for the Taliban's rise to power.
Earlier, the Taliban declared August 15 as a public holiday to commemorate the anniversary of their rise to power in Afghanistan.
*The movement is under UN sanctions for terrorist activities.
