The second meeting of foreign ministers under the Strategic Dialogue "Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council" will take place in Tashkent on April 15, as reported by the press service.
"The meeting aims to review the implementation of agreements reached during the first summit of Central Asian heads of state and the Gulf Cooperation Council, held on July 19, 2023, in Jeddah," - the ministry stated. - "Discussions will cover the development of cooperation in political, trade and economic, investment, transport and communication, cultural and humanitarian areas, as well as in security and environmental protection."
The event is expected to feature delegations from Central Asian countries, including Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, and member countries of the Cooperation Council of the Arab States of the Gulf: Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, Oman, and Saudi Arabia.
The press service also noted that summit participants will discuss preparations for the next summit in the "Central Asia - Gulf Cooperation Council" format, scheduled for 2025 in Samarkand. A joint statement on the event's outcomes is planned to be adopted.
