Tatarstan is interested in developing cooperation with Kyrgyzstan

The authorities of Tatarstan are interested in the development of cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in several directions. This was stated on Tuesday in Bishkek during a meeting with the head of the Cabinet of Kyrgyzstan Ulukbek Maripov, Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan Vasil Shaikhraziev, the press service of the Kyrgyz government reported.


"He (Shaikhraziev) recalled the meetings held in Kazan with representatives of business circles (April 28-29 this year), during which more than 10 different cooperation agreements were signed between the republics, and indicated the interest of the Tatar side in expanding partnerships in education and tourism," the statement said.


According to the press service, the representative of Tatarstan also noted that the intensification of cooperation "will have a positive impact on the development of bilateral relations."


"The deepening of mutually beneficial ties with the Republic of Tatarstan is of particular importance for the Kyrgyz Republic. Our two peoples are united by similar culture, close languages, common religion, and common traditions which should be strengthened," the press service quotes Maripov as saying.


The head of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers also congratulated the Deputy Prime Minister of Tatarstan on the "Sabantui national holiday, noting that this holiday is one of the important elements of the popularization of Tatar-Bashkir culture, strengthening peace and harmony between the peoples".
