Terrorists blow up passenger train in Nigeria

Terrorists blew up a passenger train in Nigeria, This Day newspaper reported on Tuesday, citing the director of the Nigerian Railways Corporation, Fidet Okiria.


According to the newspaper, an explosion occurred on a train carrying 970 people between Abuja (the capital) and the city of Kaduna. In addition, many passengers were taken hostage.


According to preliminary information, an improvised explosive device was planted in one of the cars. As a result of the explosion, the train derailed, several cars were damaged.
