22 April 2019

The Arab League will deny any proposals for a Palestinian-Israeli settlement that do not take into account the rights of the Palestinians and violate UN resolutions.

It was declared during an extraordinary meeting of the organization at the level of Foreign Ministers, which was held in Cairo with the participation of President of the Palestinian National Authority Mahmoud Abbas.

The Arab League statement states that Arab states proposed a peace initiative based on international law and UN resolutions in 2002 and "can’t accept any plan or deal that doesn’t fit into these fundamentals".

It is known that, the United States has been preparing a Middle East settlement plan, known as the “deal of the century,” for two years now. The details of the document have never been publicized. According to the source of information it is planned to publish it in June this year, after the holy month of Ramadan.
