«The Arabia-Expo» international exhibition started in the Russian capital as part of the 12th session of the Russian-Arab Business Council. This year more than 3 thousand participants, as well as 18 delegations from the Middle Eastern countries, who have registered to participate in it.
Both Arab and Russian companies are present at the exhibition. It's outlined that the idea of the event is the mutual demonstration of the investment and industrial potential and the subsequent expansion of contacts between the business-community.
«Nowdays, Russian companies together with their Arab partners are implementing more than 400 investment and export projects worth over $40 billion, about 25 billion of which are planned to be financed with the Russian government loans», the Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said, in particular, speaking at the opening of the 12th session of the Russian-Arab Business Council.
According to Lavrov, the energetic political dialogue between Russia and the Arab states is complement by intensive trade and economic exchanges. «Russia - the Arab world: time of action for a common future» - is the motto of this forum.
