On the 25th of March the conference “The Ways to Achieve Interreligious Peace: the Role of Theologians, Diplomats and Public Figures” has been launched in Moscow.
The prominent experts from 38 countries are ready discuss the influence of the confessional factor on international relations and global political agenda of the so-called "world powers", as well as the ways of interaction among state, public and religious entities.
Farit Muhametshin, Deputy Chairman of the Strategic Vision Group “Russia –Islam World” will participate in the work of the plenary session.
The organizers of the conference are: The Muslim Spiritual Assembly of Russia, the Council on Cooperation with Religious Associations under the President of the Russian Federation, the Russian Orthodox Church, the Institute for Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ISESCO), the Imperial Orthodox Palestine Society, the Russian Association for the Protection of Religious Freedom.
The conference comprises three sections and the plenary session of the experts, which will result in the adoption of a resolution document.
