The date of the Victory Parade in Moscow is determined

26 May 2020

The Victory parade for the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic war will be held in Moscow on June 24. The corresponding order was signed by Russian President Vladimir Putin, who also instructed to start preparing for the holiday.

"We will do this <...> on the day when the legendary historical victory parade took place in 1945, when the soldiers who fought near Moscow and defended Leningrad, fought at Stalingrad, liberated Europe, and stormed Berlin passed through Red square," the Russian leader said, in particular, following a working meeting with defense Minister Sergey Shoigu.

The Minister of Defense, as noted, should ensure the strictest security regime and minimize all possible risks.

The head of state suggested holding the Immortal regiment March  on July 26, after the Navy parade. However, if the situation with the coronavirus becomes more complicated, the event will be postponed.
