The events of the cross-year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan were announced

As part of the upcoming cross-year of Russia and Kyrgyzstan in 2020, many cultural and humanitarian events will be held, as well as a number of joint events dedicated to the anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War, the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers told  RIA Novosti.


"A draft project plan for the cross-year has been prepared. In addition to cultural and humanitarian events, it includes the participation of the President of Kyrgyzstan Sooronbay Jeenbekov in the anniversary events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, the establishment of a Memorial to the soldiers of Kyrgyzstan who died in the battles near Rzhev," the Agency quotes, in particular, the press service of the Kyrgyz Cabinet of Ministers.


The presidents of Russia and Kyrgyzstan agreed to hold a cross-year in March 2019 during Vladimir Putin's visit to Bishkek.
