Last week, almost everyone who needed was evacuated to Russia from abroad, the head of the Federal Air Transport Agency Alexander Neradko said after a meeting of the Presidium of the Coordinating Council under the government to combat the spread of new coronavirus infection, RIA Novosti reports.

"I would like to draw the attention to the fact that the citizens of the Russian Federation, as well as the CIS countries, who were most urgently in need, were evacuated over the past week", the Agency quotes him as saying.

Earlier today all Russian tourists who purchased package tours were evacuated from the UAE. The evacuation of Russians from Egypt's Sharm El-Sheikh and Hurghada has also been completed.

There are now more than 720 thousand confirmed cases of infection in the world and more than 34 thousand deaths. The most difficult situation is in Italy, Spain, Germany and France.
