A meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of Russia and Algeria Sergey Lavrov and Sabri Boukadoum was held in Moscow. The central topic of discussion was the development of bilateral cooperation.
Diplomats have also reaffirmed the attitude to strengthen Foreign Policy cooperation.
Special attention was paid to the Middle East issues, in particular, the situations in Syria, Libya and Western Sahara.
«At the same time, the commitment of Moscow and Algeria to unblocking all conflict situations by political and diplomatic methods was confirmed, on the basis of respect for the norms and principles of international law and the provisions of the UN Charter», the Russian Foreign Minister said.
It is known that the Algerian Foreign Minister has arrived in Moscow to participate in the 5th ministerial session of the Russian-Arab Cooperation Forum.
